Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the promotion strategy of Omah Kecebong managers through the @omahkecebong Instagram account. In today's life, many use the internet as a medium for promotion, one of which is Instagram. This study aims to analyze how the Omah Kecebong tourist attraction uses Instagram as a promotional medium to introduce Javanese culture. Therefore, researcher has conducted research using qualitative descriptive methods, namely data collection through in-depth interviews and documentation on the research subject. In this study, researcher used the Instagram analysis unit to maximize promotional media according to (Matthew Sugiarto 2018) with three indicators, namely content, consistency, and community as a promotional strategy for Omah Kecebong to introduce the Javanese culture. Then the data validity test was carried out using the source triangulation method. The results of this study state that the Instagram @omahkecebong promotion strategy uses content by utilizing photo and video features. The manager who acts as an Instagram admin does not assign a special division in promotion through Instagram. This can be seen from the promotion concept and cultural indicators used in this study.
