Abstract
The media and artists represent and reflect on romance in the pre-wedding video documentation of lovers. Romantic meaning is often limited to scenes that accentuate intimacy and beauty through the aesthetics of videography. This phenomenon is found in the pre-wedding video of Isyana Sarasvati and Rayhan Maditra. This pre-wedding video carries a video with a simple storyline and various activities that many lovers have to do. At the same time, there are signs in the pre-wedding video that contain romantic values. This study aims to determine the meaning of romance in the pre-wedding video of Isyana Sarasvati and Rayhan Maditra. This research is qualitative research with the subject of the pre-wedding video of Isyana Sarasvati & Rayhan Maditra. The data were obtained by observing and documenting the scene in the pre-wedding video of Isyana Sarasvati and Rayhan Maditra. This study was analyzed using the De Saussure semiotic analysis method to look for signs and classify them into signifiers and signified. The results of this study found how the romantic meaning displayed in Isyana Sarasvati's pre-wedding video, while romance has a broad meaning, even starting from the little things that the couple does in everyday life.
