Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between aqidah and gratitude among students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The sample in this study were college students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The population in this study was 21682 and a sample of 355 people, taken using nonprobability sampling technique type accidental sampling. Data were collected using a gratitude scale with an alpha coefficient of 0.934 and a aqidah scale with an alpha coefficient of 0.964. The data analysis technique used was the non-parametric spearmen rho test. The results of the analysis show that "there is a significant positive relationship between the strength of aqidah and gratitude for students of the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta" with a significance level of 0.000. The higher the level of the strength of the aqidah, the higher the level of gratitude. Vice versa, if the power of faith is low, then the gratitude that is owned is also low. The variable of aqidah gave an effective contribution to gratitude by 22.9%, so it can be concluded that faith gave an effective contribution of 22.9% to students at the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
