Abstract

Problem solving skilss need to be taught and applied in learning because it is very important for students in completing a problem. Solving ability the problem is a way or way out for students in solve a problem so that you can plan or determine the right strategy in solving learning problems in physics to achieve the desired. This study aims to 1). Develop problem solving-based student worksheets for class XI high school / MA level students on light wave material, 2). To find out the quality of problem solving-based student worksheets on light wave material., and 3). Knowing the response of students to student worksheets based on problem solving that have been developed. This research is a research development or Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D Model developed by Thiagarajan. This research procedure includes 4 steps, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Dissminate. This research was carried out until the Develop stage which was limited to limited trials. The research instruments were validation sheets, assessment sheets, and student response sheets. Assessment of the quality of the physics student worksheet using a Likert scale with a scale of 4 and the response of students' responses using the Guttman scale have been successful. The results of the research were in the form of a physics student worksheet developed based on problem solving on light wave material. The quality of problem-solving based physics LKPD based on the assessment of media experts, material experts, and physics teachers obtained the Very Good (SB) category with a mean score of 3.36, 3.83, and 3.50. Students' responses to LKPD on the limited test obtained the Agree (S) category with an average score of 0.94. In the response of students in limited trials the results obtained, namely the use of LKPD can help students more easily understand the material of light waves and LKPD helps studentas learn independently.
