Abstract

The attitude of moral reasoning in early childhood is essentially important to be developed from an early age. This is because the level of children's moral reasoning affects the behavior and personality of the child. One of the efforts to develop moral reasoning in early childhood is through fairy tales or stories. Heru Kurniawan's fairy tale is one of the works in which there is a moral level that is introduced at an early age. This study aims to determine the level of moral reasoning of mutual help in the book collection of fairy tales, animals help each other, how to determine actions to help in early childhood development and the development of moral reasoning to help children in the collection of fairy tales for early childhood Heru Kurniawan. According to Kohlberg, moral development has several stages, namely obedience and punishment orientation, instrument relativist orientation, and good or sweet child orientation, where the moral given in this study is the attitude of helping children. This research uses library research research method with content analysis approach. Data and data sources Referring to the principle data source, namely the collection of PAUD fairy tales by Heru Kurniawan and secondary data taken from several documents, namely journals, books, or articles that support this research. The results of this study show that firstly, moral reasoning helps children in a collection of fairy tales for early childhood has two reasons, namely moral reasoning in the second stage is instrument-oriented and the third stage leads to conformity, namely good children; Second, moral attitude reasoning helps this in accordance with the development of early childhood, namely at the age of 4-5 years and 5-6 years. Third, there are four ways to develop the reasoning of children's moral attitudes, namely determining the fairy tale to be told, telling fairy tales to children, making evaluations, and giving appreciation.
