Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the world of education. Since the implementation of distance learning, cases of physical and verbal violence against children have increased rapidly from January to June 2020. One of the reasons is that the stress level of parents increases while accompanying children to study at home. Based on this problem, the researchers made a Islamic parenting model product in the form of a draft module as a Islamic parenting stress coping strategy in educating early childhood children to study at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the importance of the Islamic parenting model, find out the implementation of the Islamic parenting model, and describe the weaknesses and strengths of the Islamic parenting model as a parenting stress coping strategy in educating early childhood children to study at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research method is a case study with qualitative research data types. Data collection methods in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles and Huberman model by reducing the data and presenting the data descriptively. The results of this study are: (1) the Islamic parenting model is very important for parents as a stress coping strategy in educating early childhood children to study at home during the Covid-19 pandemic because the Islamic parenting model contains materials that include solutions to the problems experienced by children. parents such as how to understand the characteristics of early childhood, how to educate and teach young children to learn at home, how to deal with children who are difficult to learn, how to manage parental emotions when experiencing stress when educating children to study at home, and how to raise children good and correct, (2) the implementation of the Islamic parenting model is valid and feasible to be used as a parenting stress coping strategy in educating early childhood learning at home with the overall ideal percentage of material experts and media experts in the very good category. The Islamic parenting model is effective as a stress coping strategy in terms of problem focused coping and emotion focused coping in educating early childhood learning at home, and (3) the strengths of the Islamic parenting model, namely the diversity and breadth of material, integrating Islamic values, attractive design and language. easy to understand, and feasible as a stress coping strategy. Meanwhile, the weaknesses of the Islamic parenting model, namely the lack of material specifications and details, lack of international references, and have not been published or published
