Abstract

Individuals who conduct religious conversions are actually not easy, they through a process in decision making in converting beliefs requires a long time. The hypothesis in this research is that there is a relationship between social support and happiness in religious conversion practitioners (converts) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship social support and happiness on religious converters in Special Region Yogyakarta. Subject of this research are 85 people in the religious conversion Mualaf Center in Yogyakarta. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the pearson product moment analysis technique. The results of the analysis of pearson product moment r xy = 0.518 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05) this means that there is a very significant positive relationship of social support and happiness on religious converters in Mualaf Yogyakarta. Therefore, the higher the social support, the higher the happiness of religious religious converters. The effective contribution of social support to happiness is 0.268 which means 26.8%. The remaining 73.2% is influenced by other variables.
