Abstract

Learning motivation is an internal and external encouragement in an individual to achieve learning-related goals. one of the external factors is the family. Parents are the first educators for their children. Positive parenting is a parenting form conducted by parents for their children by loving, cherishing and educating each other without violence in the parenting patterns given. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a positive relationship between parenting and learning motivation towards junior high school students. The subjects in this study were second grade students at junior high school 2 Banguntapan. Measuring instruments used in the form of learning motivation scale and positive parenting. To see the relationship using Correlation Product Moment. From this test, it shows that the correlation value is 0.319, while the p value is 0.01, so it can be said that p <0.05. This proves that the hypothesis in this study is accepted so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between positive parenting and learning motivation in junior high school students. Effective contribution of positive parenting variables to learning motivation in junior high school students by 10.2%
