Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) to produce physics teaching materials based on multi-representation such as student worksheet and module for the topic of work and energy for the first grade students of SMAN 8 Yogyakarta; 2) to know the quality of the physics teaching materials based on multi-representation for the topic of work and energy; 3) to know students responses about the developed physics teaching materials. This research is an R&D research with prosedures which adapts the development procedures of the ADDIE model, this model consists of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation which is restricted to implementation step limited trials. The data collecting technique in this research is the non-test technique with a questionnaires method. The instruments which used are validation sheets, physics teaching materials evaluation sheets, and students responses questionnaires. The result of instruments and products validity using V Aiken is valid for all the aspect of instruments and products. The quality assessment of physics teaching materials based on multi-representation using likert scale with 4 scale and students responses using guttman scale created in checklist form. The results of this research are 1) it has been developed physics teaching materials for the topic of work and energy based on multi-representation for the first grade students of SMAN 8 Yogyakarta; 2) the quality of physics teaching materials based on multi-representation based on the assessment ofphysics material experts, media experts, physics teachers has the excellent result; and 3) the students responses in a limited test show that the average students give agreement to the developed product.
