Abstract

This research was conducted because Surah Yasin is one of the letters that has many benefits if it is read by a Muslim and it is very useful if you know the meaning of Surah Yasin. Therefore KH. Abdul Basith AS tries to provide understanding and answers to social phenomena that occur through his interpretation entitled "Tafsir Surah Yasin; Presenting Al-Quran Values in Life ". The explanation in this interpretation uses the actual issue so that it can be widely understood. This thesis is the result of library research (library Research) with a sociological-hermeneutical approach that will answer problems regarding the social aspects of "Tafsir Surah Yasin; Presenting AlQuran Values in Life ", and how KH. Abdul Basith AS regarding the social phenomena happening around him. In accordance with the problems to be discussed, then data collection obtained by examining the book "Tafsir Surah Yasin; Presenting Al-Quran Values in Life "and assisted with the results of interviews with people involved in the completion of the work. The existence of social phenomena that occurred around him made KH. Abdul Basith AS was restless and finally wrote the interpretation of surah Yasin as an answer to the public. The majority of this interpretation uses reason (ra'yu) with a thematic method with a social character (Ijtima'i), while the social aspects of this book can be seen when KH. Abdul Basith interpreted the QS. Yasin verses 28-32 about the attitude of helping help and have a noble character. Verses 33-36 regarding dhikr after prayer (subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, allahu akbar) are related to gratitude. Verses 37-40 about the day which should be used as a time to try to find rizki and fulfill one's life and the night which should be used as a time to rest and merit to Allah SWt. Finally verses 45-47 about shadaqah. In this study, KH. Abdul Basith AS uses various forms of social studies to explain the meaning of the contents of surah Yasin, the social phenomena that occur do not escape his attention. So that this interpretatio
