Abstract

The problems in the world of education in the current global era are very vurnerable to various problems requiring development or change. Education if currently still seems messy and Inequality both in quality and quantity both in relation to the effectiveness and relevance of education. This is the background for the exsistence of educational innovations to make changes, improvements and improvements to the quality of education continuously. This research is a descriptive quality research using observation data collection techniques, documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques that interviews. Data analysis techniques that are inducative, by means of the stages of data collection, data reducation, data presentation and drawing conclusions, end data validity is done by means of triangulation and reference adequacy. The results of this study are 1) the background of the principal of the MAN 1 Mataram school. In developing activities is (1) innovation for the advancement of school institutions ready to compete in the modern era (2) awareness of school resident abaout environmental extracurricular activities and (3) developing student talents in businies throught creative economy extracurricular. 2) Management of school principals in developing exctracurricuuler activities is by planning, organizing, moving/implementating and monitoring/evaluating the implementation of extracurricular programs 3) the managerial impact of school principals in developing exctracurriculer activities is increasing the quality of educational institutions and increasing individual improvements both principals and teacher and students, to increase awareness of the school community on environmental cleaniness and improve student skills in the field of business.
