Abstract

Starting from the covid-19 pandemic, learning is diverted from offline learning to online learning. With the difference between the two learning techniques, educators need to prepare the right media and learning methods to use in online learning. In addition to media and learning methods, student ethics is also very important in online learning because it has a big part in it. Therefore, this study is to review online Arabic language learning reviewed from the media and learning methods as well as the relationships, contributions, and ethical excellence of students in online Arabic language learning. This type of research is field research with qualitative approach. The data gathering techniques used in this study are observation techniques, interview, and documentation. In analyzing the data obtained, researcher used qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques of Miles and Huberman data analysis models through stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion drawing. The results of this study include: 1) Learning media used in online Arabic language learning class VII PPS Madrasah Qur'an Nurul Hakim Kediri West Lombok when viewed from the type using learning media in the form of audio (voice recordings made directly by teachers using voice recorder applications), visual media (pdf files containing a collection of images from the lesson materials that teachers will teach), and audio-visual media (videos that are on Youtube and videos that teachers make on the Instagram app). The learning method used is the method of assignment and is used as a attendance of students, indicators of the level of attention of students, and a benchmark of seriousness of students in following online Arabic language learning. When viewed from the ethics of students, there are some students who do not obey the instructions given by the teacher by sending assignments without greeting and introducing themselves first, the lack of attendance of students, there are students who complete the task by Googling, the use of communication language via chat used by students is relatively polite although still rigid, and the response given by students is relatively fast. 2) The ethics of students have relationships and contribute to teacher assessment, so that students who show good ethics will get good grades, and vice versa. 3) The poor ethics that students show such as delays and interrupting teacher explanations can interfere with the conduciveness and continuity of online Arabic language learning. On the contrary, ethics such as greetings and introducing themselves are helpful to teachers in identifying and recognizing students’ assignments.
