Abstract

PAI Teachers' Perceptions of Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection are different, some agree with the implementation of the child protection law and some disagree, because in the PAI learning process there is a sense of fear for teachers when giving punishment to students. SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta is one of the oldest schools in Indonesia and the oldest school in Yogyakarta, SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta has 8 major expertise, making it easier for students to take majors according to their talents. This study examines the perceptions of Islamic Education Teachers towards Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. This research study covers how Islamic education teachers' perceptions of Law no. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, factors that influence perceptions, and the implication of the PAI teacher's perception of the PAI learning process at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. This research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The method used in this research is observation, interview and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis technique. The results of the research findings indicate that: First, the Perceptions of PAI Teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta Against Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection is very important for the safety of students, where the child will later become the successor of the Nation and the State, so the child must be cared for and treated as well as possible. Children are not only the responsibility of parents, but also the responsibility of education, society, and government. Second, the factors that influence the perceptions of Islamic Education Teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta are: Internal factors, namely factors that exist in the individual himself, external factors, factors from experience, educational level, organization. Third, the implications of the perceptions of PAI teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Yogtyakarta on the PAI learning process are: teachers must be able to create a humanist learning process, there are 5 needs that support the PAI learning process, namely: physiological needs: schools meet the needs of students both facilities and infrastructure, the need for sense of security: providing security in the school environment, the need for a sense of belonging and a sense of love: the PAI teacher gives love to all students without discrimination, the need for appreciation: the teacher also rewards participants who excel, the need for self-actualization: students are given freedom in selecting a major according to the talents of students.
