Abstract

At this time, the developments in the world of fashion are very rapid, especially in terms of clothes or costumes which used in pre-wedding photos, which emphasize fashion. Pre-wedding photos prioritize the ethical and aesthetic elements. Even though it has become issue in the community and has become a culture, ironically there is an issue of prohibiting pre-wedding photos from among modern scholars. In general, at this time people who will carry out the marriage, first do the pre-wedding photos. Their purpose are to show and introduce that there is already a prospective bride. In addition, as a means of getting to know each other between the prospective groom and the bride, in Islam it is known as ta'aruf. Even though the clothes or costumes which used in the pre-wedding photos are beautiful, nice, and elegant, there are still visible limbs, especially the groom's genitals that shows her curves. Pre-wedding photos are very interesting to be researched and assessed. The author will focus on researching the clothes or costumes which used by the bride in the pre-wedding photo. Islamic legal approaches such as: Al- Hadith, Fiqh, and Ulama Opinions, become the basis of how Islamic law examines the costume which used by the bride in her pre-wedding photo. The method in this research is qualitative methods. The collected data is in the form of words. The type of research used in this thesis is library research. The nature of this research is prescriptive research. The approach which used in this research is a normative approach, namely by approaching the problem to be examined based on the Al-Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Ulama Opinions, relating to issues around women's clothing and genitals. The researcher then analyze with a review of Islamic law, including using the theory of Imam Madzhab and Contemporary Ulama Theory. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that according to the opinion of the Ulama Imam Madzhab and Contemporary Ulama, the clothes in the pre-wedding photo are not allowed. This is based on the results of the study clothes that are according to sharia, although only a small part.
