Abstract

Tolerance Character was one of the character values has to be owned and implimentated in the indonesian sosiaty, this has been said by Santiko (2012). According to Zaini (2010). One of the factors that formed the character of tolerance was religious maturity, wich mean that one’s religious character can be used as a fondation thats contains a norm or over all value as a whole, or value can be as a framework in being positive in line with the root. Addition, chidester, and friends (Apriliani and Ghazali, 2016) Said that named the character values of tolerance can also be said throwthe educational proses. Education was one of media can be learned about tolerance, thare for education was responsible for pearsons level of thought or congnitive suport in a character of tolerance. This study aims to know the relationship of religious maturity and intra school student organitation (OSIS) activity with the character of student tolerance. The method used in this research was a quantitative research, the mothod used a multiple regression analisis for test the major hypotesis and pearson product moment analisis for test the minor hypotesis. The basis for the theory used the theory that presented by Tillman and have to developed by Supriyanto and Wahyudi (2017) to compile a character measurement of tolerance character, than the Alport’s theory as a basis for measured the religious maturity and Suryobroto’s theory to compile the scale of student council activeness (OSIS).The result from this research sugest there was a positive corelation between religious maturity and student council activeness (osis) with the character of tolerance in student council at SMAN 4 adn SMAN 5 Magelang city with a coefisien r 0,678 and effective donations 0,472 (47,2125%) with a sig 0,000 (p<0,05).
