Abstract

This research was researched on the basis of the absence of research that discusses the evaluation of the "learning socialization" program on the soft skill development of PAI Masters Study Program students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Soft skill development is important because according to research 80% of a person's success is based on their soft skill. In order for soft skill development to run well, an evaluation of the program that has been implemented is required. To find out whether the program is effective or not. This research is expected to be a reference material in improving the soft skill development program. This research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research (mix method) with the CIPP model evaluation approach. A qualitative approach is used to evaluate in terms of context, input, and process. Meanwhile, quantitative research is used in calculating the effectiveness in terms of product. The research was conducted by means of interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. Previous researchers have determined the criteria for each component to be evaluated, so that a conclusion will be drawn whether the program is effective or not. The result, (1) Effectiveness in terms of context, the program "Learning Socialization" is declared effective, this is because the clear background and purpose of the program. (2) Effectiveness in terms of input, declared effective. Because, the good components of the material, presenters, facilities and infrastructure are in accordance with the criteria determined by the researcher. (3) Effectiveness in terms of process, declared effective, because the components of the role of the speaker, the method used, management, and the role of the participants are in accordance with the criteria determined by the researcher. (4) Effectiveness in terms of product, declared effective, because based on distributed questionnaires and researchers' calculations, the product is in the effective category interval by getting a score of 31.40 from the highest score of 40. (5) Thus, the overall effectiveness is declared effective because all aspects evaluated are declared effective.
