Abstract

Science Process Skills are one of the skills used to understand any phenomenon, therefore students get the opportunity to experiment. This study aims to 1) design a science module based on science process skills on the material of the solar system; 2) knowing the quality of the science module based on science process skills on the material of the solar system; 3) knowing the student's response to the limited test of the science module that has been developed. This research is a procedural R & D research that adapts the 4-D model development procedure, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted until the develop stage. However, it only reached the limited trial stage. The research instruments were in the form of interview sheets, instrument validation, product validation, assessment sheets, and student response questionnaires. The research instrument using data collection techniques in this assessment is a non-test technique with a questionnaire method. The results of this study include: 1) a science module has been developed based on science process skills on the material of the solar system; 2) the quality of the science module based on science process skills on the material of the solar system based on the expert's assessment of the material 3.25 with a good category; 3.37 media expert with very good category; and science teacher 3.56 with very good category; 3) student responses to the limited test showed that on average the students agreed with the product being developed with a mean score of 0.95. The results of this study indicate that the science process skills-based science module on the material of the solar system deserves to be used as a source of independent learning.
