Abstract

The research background is in SMP Negeri 1 Dua that technology and Islamic Education lessons have an influence in shaping students' soft skills by using blended learning. This study aims to 1) study and describe the implementation of blended learning-based learning in Islamic Education subjects in developing soft skills for students of SMP Negeri 1 Dua Boccoe, 2) Knowing how the soft skills of students as a result of implementing blended learning based learning on Islamic Education subjects in facing the challenges of the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 in SMP Negeri 1 Dua Boccoe. This type of research is qualitative using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is data reduction by collecting data according to the focus of the study, displaying the data in the form of a narrative, verifying data and drawing conclusions. The results showed, first, SMP Negeri 1 Dua Boccoe implemented PAI based on blended learning in developing soft skills for students, whose implementation was adjusted to the learning objectives of PAI with the preparation and utilization of media according to the time allocation to smoothen and give positive changes to students in terms of their ability to understand and respond. right down to the habituation of soft skill abilities. The second result, soft skills as a result of the implementation of PAI based on blended learning include communication skills, writing, adapting, critical thinking, time management, the ability to work together and problem solving. challenges in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 related to technological advances and disruption of education by encouraging student motivation towards developing science, educating skills and utilizing technological advances to socialize, creating links between scientific development and Islamic values, instilling broad attitudes and insights through soft skills in education and social life with an interpretation of religious values.
