Abstract

Learning activities contain a number of components and are holistically influential in determining learning outcomes, both the results of the process or the results of the learning system. In addition, lecturers occupy a very important place in the development of education in all countries in the world, including Indonesia. A lecturer is required to pay great attention to improving quality and professionalism, as well as other things such as virtue and the infrastructure owned by the campus where the lecturer is on duty. This study aims to determine the professional standards of PAI lecturers and how the professional implementation of lecturers in the PAI learning process (Case Study in Islamic Education Study Program STAIYO Wonosari). This research is included in field research (Field Resarch) which is qualitative in nature. The subjects of this study were the Chairperson of the Foundation, the Chairperson of Staiyo, the Head of Study Program of PAI Staiyo and the Lecturer of Staiyo. Meanwhile, data collection in this study uses the method of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The analysis in this study uses data reduction techniques, data presentation and verification as well as using data validity. The results of this research are: Lecturers' professional standards in the PAI lecture process at STAIYO Wonosari as follows: Meet the minimum qualifications with a S2 certificate, as religious experts who have broad insight, have educator certification, have personal integrity, a sense of responsibility for the assigned task, able to express his conscience in the form of deeds and be a good role model, able to carry out education, research, and community service, and able to maintain the good name of the campus. Lecturer Professional Implementation in the PAI Lecture Process at STAIYO Wonosari begins with the lecturer making RPS with a minimum of 14 meetings. Then in the lecture process students make papers to be presented, then carry out the teaching process according to the predetermined curriculum. Provide group assignments, individual assignments and provide training in reading al-Qur'an and prayer practices. By using the lecture and discussion method, this method is considered more effective because it can develop students' reasoning power and insights about Islamic Education. Furthermore, the professional principles of lecturers in the PAI lecture process at STAIYO Wonosari: Lecturers have the potential and a calling to teach, have responsibility and professionalism for carrying out tasks according to their fields, are able to provide good role models and religious values in the lecture process, are able cooperate among lecturers in order to create students who excel in their fields.
