Abstract

Zakat payment through Go-Pay is a novelty in the mindst of society Muzakki who wants to pay zakat can go through the Gojek application as a payment service provider through Go-Pay. Advances in technology are one of the thigs that has led to changes in zakat payment, which used to be a manual system, but now can be done online. Zakat payment through Go-Pay is a new payment method that needs to be further scrutinized and examined whether the zakat funds that have been collected on Gojek are used unilaterally considering the process of depositing funds using the period system. It is known that Gojek ia a commercial company that certainly expects benefits from the collaboration with BAZNAS Yogyakarta City.Thus, it is necessary to know how the provisions of service fees are applied to zakat payments. Because of this academic anxiety, it is necessary to carry out a more in-dept study related to the review of Islamic law on zakat collection through Go-Pay with research locus at BAZNAS Yogyakarta City. This type of research is field research (field research) with a legal-formal approach. While the data analysis method uses descriptive analytic with several stages, namely preliminary research, data processing, checking the validity of the data and data analysis. All data were obtained through observation and interview methods. The result show that the collection of zakat through Go-Pay can be done by considering the benefit for all parties. The service fee agreement is 6.65% of the collected zakat funds including ujrah which is the right of Gojek for the payment services provide. The mechanism for depositting zakat funds from Gojek to BAZNAS Yogyakarta City based on the period system must be carried out by applying sharia principles and upholding transparency in cooperation. However, even though there is the ability to pay zakat, the writer still recommends BAZNAS Yogyakarta City to collaborate with the lowest service fees considering that amil’s right to zakat is only 12.5%, in this case it has been shared with Gojek. Furthermore, to minimize the occurrence of undersirable things, such as the unilateral use of zakat funds, it is necessary to restructure the contract with changes to the previous deposit method with the period system so that zakat can be deposited periodically . Thus, zakat funds will be more quickly received and managed by BAZNAS Yogyakarta City.
