Abstract

The execution of village assistants in empowering rural communities has also become the implementation of policies from Villages Law Number 6 of 2014, which is regarded as the answer to the creation of independence, welfare, and progress of the village economy by carrying out village development through the outskirts. The legitimacy of the roles, objectives, and mechanisms for implementing village assistance is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration Number 3 of 2015 concerning Village Assistance. The mentoring role serves as a planner, assistant, and compiler as well as community awareness which is the responsibility of village assistants in empowering the community to build an independent and more advanced village. However, the process of achieving these goals is very different. The evidence is that in carrying out mentoring, the presence of facilitators, the condition of the village area, as well as the potential of human resources and natural resources are very influential so that these influences also provide different benefits. Therefore, the researcher wants to examine the benefits of village assistants in the implementation of village government, a field study in Pejok Village, Kepohbaru District, Bojonegoro Regency. In analyzing this topic, the researcher used field-based research (field research) with an in-depth approach to the object and the method used is normative empirical. The kind of this research is descriptive-analytic which analyzes the problem by describing facts or events through normative theory and law. Data collection techniques were obtained directly through interviews, observations, various documents/libraries, and studies of related regulations. The result of this study shows that the benefits of village assistants as supporting community independence that lead to welfare have indeed been proven through several roles carried out by village assistants following the Regulation of the Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration Number 3 of 2015 concerning Village Assistance. These things applied in the following ways: first, coaching the village government about technology to maximize the implementation of government. Second, assist the village government in the area of administrative service implementation. Third, the provision of socialization with the village community in the success of the work program to increase awareness so that community participation is created. Therefore, with these several roles, the benefits in implementing government are reflected in the government's growth and the community's pro-active spirit in participatory development in the village.
