Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of the fiction collection in the MAN 2 Kulon Progo Yoyakarta Library based on the circulation study from January 2018 to December 2019. This study uses a method centered on usage with a basis for circulation studies. In this study, the researcher observed circulation data at the MAN 2 Kulon Progo Yogyakarta Library which aims to determine the usability of the fictional collection based on circulation studies at the MAN 2 Kulon Progo Yogyakarta Library. This study uses a descriptive-quantitative approach with a population of 1596 copies. Data collection techniques are unstructured interviews, using non-participant observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the level of usability of the collection of fiction in the MAN 2 Kulon Progo Library as a whole has a percentage of the collection reaching 41.96% meaning that a small portion of the collection of fiction books used has a very low percentage. while for the level of disuse of the collection as a whole, the percentage of the collection reached 58.03% meaning that almost the entire collection of fiction is unused, which means that the collection of unused fiction has a very high percentage. As for the suggestions for the MAN 2 Kulon Progo Library, Yogyakarta, it is necessary to weed the collection of fiction for collections that are not suitable for use and to increase the number of copies of fiction collections that have a high level of interest.
