Abstract

Trade is a very important thing in the economic activity of a country. Trading activity of a country is an indication of the level of prosperity of its people, as well as a benchmark for the level of the country's economy. This study aims to analyze the effect of population, rice production, and rice prices of Thailand on rice imports in Indonesia in 1991-2020. Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedastisitas (ARCH) is an analytical technique to calculate time series data with the help of the Eviews 10 program. Simultaneously, the research results show that population size, rice production, and rice prices of Thailand simultaneously have a significant effect on rice imports. Partially population, rice production, and rice prices of Thailand have a significant effect on rice imports in Indonesia.
