Abstract

The existence of globalization brings changes to the social contruction of society, especially women. The development of women's intellectual and intelligence becomes the driving factor for pursuing a career in the political area, especially with the affirmative action regulated in Law No. 7 of 2017 can facilitate the movement of women in the region. However, the responsibility as a politician is considered heavy and time-consuming so that it becomes a problem for women politicians who are already married. Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage explains that housewives have an obligation to manage household affairs as well as possible in order to create a harmony. In politics, of course, regardless of the status and other responsibilities of politicians, the household cannot be used as an excuse to neglect various political agendas so that indications of disharmony in the household of women politicians appear due to their busy lives in two areas (politics and household). Indications of disharmony become an interesting thing to study, because so far despite this indication, Pangandaran politicians are still able to maintain the integrity of the household. This research was conducted using a qualitative method that is descriptive analysis with a sociological juridical approach. Researchers will describe and critically analyze how the problems that occur in the field, especially regarding the efforts made by women politicians in maintaining their households. In research, the rule of law becomes the main reference in analyzing the facts on the ground, then the results of the research will be strengthened by several analytical tools, including the theory of legal adaptability and the theory of borders. This study focuses on the households of women politicians who occupy DPRD seats. Pangandaran Regency as a Pamekaran Regency which was established in 2012 shows that the DPRD in Pangandaran has only been running for two periods so that this short trip requires women DPRD to be able to adapt to several new problems. Based on preliminary research, indications of disharmony can be proven by some of the problems faced by women DPRD in marriage, such as double burden, time, salary and position. However, with so many household problems, husband and wife do not end up in divorce, instead women DPRD households are able to build harmony efforts that are not necessarily owned by other Regency DPRDs. Women's DPRD implements the concept of equilibrium, mublah and gender partnership in maintaining household harmony even though each DPRD has a tendency towards one effort being made. Several DPRDs stated that the heaviest problems arose when they first started their work in the DPRD, meaning that the new Regency and the short trip of the DPRD had a big impact on household life and certainly the conditions obtained were different from those of other Regency DPRD households. Therefore, with the unique findings obtained during the initial research, it is interesting to investigate further, find out and analyze the efforts of women's DPRD households in overcome existing problems.
