Abstract
This research was conducted to describe the news framing of Pandemic of Covid-19 in Indonesia based on CNNIndonesia.com and Tribunnews.com period June – December 2020. The formulation of the problem in this study is how media criticize framed president of Indonesia Joko Widodo in the situation of Covid-19 pandemic. Using constructivism paradigm with qualitative approach and analytical method of Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model which has four stages to determine news framing, namely: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, treatment recommendation. This study uses two theories, Online Journalistic, Construction News of Reality within two online news media portal, CNNIndonesia.com and Tribunnews.com there are 10 news stories analyzed in this story chosen by purposive sampling method. The study indicated that the framing news by CNNIndonesia.com had more criticizing president Joko Widodo than Tribunnews.com. CNNIndonesia.com highlighting the news with bold word, oftenly presents the problem to public withing the problems and chosen non goverment interviewees to responded. Tribunnews.com coverage tends to accentuate criticism of the goverment’s.
