Abstract

This research has been carried out in Kretek District, Bantul Regency based on microtremor measurements. The purpose of this research is to figure out the value of the dominant frequency ( ), the amplification factor ), and the value of Vs30. This research also intends to characterize the location using HVSR inversion (Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio) and the Ellipticity Curve. The data for this study were obtained from field measurements of microtremor and comparative data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) website. Microtremor data was collected using the TDS 303S Seismograph sensor at 48 points with an interval of 1 Km between them. The collected microtremor measurement data were then processed using the HVSR (Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio) method to obtain the Dominant Frequency ( , and Amplification Factor ), followed by HVSR inversion with Ellipticity Curve to produce Ground Profile Vs. The lowest value of Vs30 produced was 88.09 m/s, while the highest value was 596.85 m/s. The lowest Vs30 value is found in the northern portion of Kretek District, in the villages of Tirtosari, Tirtomulyo, and Donotirto, which have a Soft Soil and Medium Soil Site Classification. The highest Vs30 values are found in the Parangtritis and Girijati areas, which are dominated by hard rocks and have the Nglanggran and Wonosari strata. The Merapi Muda Sediment Formation, which has soft rock qualities, has the lowest Vs30 value. In a conclusion, the value of Vs30 is related to the value of the dominant frequency in a certain location.
