Abstract

The background of this research stems from the researchers' interest in the management of knowledge at the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi School. This study aims to analyze the application of knowledge management in improving the quality of education and competitiveness which includes the management of knowledge management and its application in the quality of education and competitiveness. As well as the achievements that have been achieved when implementing knowledge management. This research is a phenomenological qualitative research taking the background at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi. The subjects of this study were the vice principal of the curriculum section, the vice principal of the student body, several teachers of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi and students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data by means of triangulation of sources and techniques combined with theory. The results of the study show that the application of Knowledge Management in improving the quality of education and competitiveness of schools can be said to be quite good, as evidenced by various programs that have been facilitated by madrasas to continue to explore new insights, xii although in the application of the knowledge management process there is a process that has not been maximized in implementing it. However, it does not become a barrier to always optimize the management of knowledge management so as to improve the quality of madrasas and also when facing competitiveness. The form of achievement from the application of Knowledge Management, namely the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi has gradually increased, which is evidenced by the many achievements achieved and also many graduates from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi who are accepted at well-known universities. With these qualities that make Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Ngawi able to face competitiveness, this can be proven by the number of.
