Abstract

The environment is one of the factors that can affect children's development, including the community environment. However, creating a good environment for children in the ex-localization area is not a simple matter. Therefore, concrete steps are needed to overcome these problems. One of them is by establishing TPQ which applies transformative Islamic education. This research is classified as a qualitative field research or Field Research. The subjects of this study were the founder of TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat, Teacher of TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat, parents of TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat's santri, chairman of BMPG TPQ Kundur District, and community leaders in the ex-localization area. While data collection uses in-depth interview techniques, documentation and observation. The data analysis used data reduction techniques, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and data validity. The results of this study indicate that the ex-localization Kundur area has problems that can affect children's development. These problems are the lack of educational facilities and the many actions that violate religious norms that children can witness directly. TPQ is one of the solutions to this problem, so that, in 2005 the TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat was established. TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat has implemented transformative Islamic education to bring change to students. Gradually student of TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat turned into a good person. The success of TPQ al-Ikhlash Tanjung Batu Barat was also due to the support of local residents and the BMPG TPQ Kundur District.
