Abstract

In this study discusses the extracurricular spirituality of Islam in the face of globalization. Spiritual Islam is an organization that nuances religious values specifically for Muslim students. Islamic spirituality is usually packaged in extracurricular form. Spiritual Islam has Islamic activities, some of the activities carried out can at least foster the love of Learners towards Islam, and most importantly can add to the faith and piety of learners so that with faith and taqwa this can be used as a foundation in facing the challenges of globalization because as we know that adolescence is a very vulnerable age to net immoral and unethical actions, So many student attitudes deviate from the values, culture, morals, and religion. This research aims, to find out how the implementation of Islamic Spiritual Extracurricular activities in Smk School 5 Yogyakarta., to find out the efforts made by Rohani Islam in facing the challenges of globalization, to find out the effectiveness of the efforts made by Islamic Spiritual extracurriculars in anticipating the challenges of globalization. This research includes a type offield research (field research)that is qualitative. Data collection in qualitative research uses observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis includes: data reduction, display / presentation of data, and draw conclusions and then verified. The results of this study show: First the implementation of Islamic Spiritual extracurriculars in SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta in the face of globalization, realized in the form of religious activities that are routinely carried out among others are: Tahsin activities, grand lectures, welcoming islamic holidays, discussion and study of Islam and Islamic art. Second, the spiritual efforts of Islam in SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta in the face of globalization are carried out through religious understanding development activities that are carried out to keep students to love and read the Quran, and learn what is the contents of the Quran, through the construction of digital technology knowledge. Where the students will be given insight and knowledge how to optimize social media well. The third effectiveness of rohis efforts in anticipating the globalization of the work program run by Rohis is a very effective effort in anticipating the negative impact of developing technology and globalization, with students having positive activities this will make them a good person.
