Abstract

The background of this research is related to the increasingly modern era, many educational institutions offer various excellent facilities and programs. One of them is to offer learning by inculcating moral values and discipline, religious-based learning institutions, and institutions with the formation of children's character due to the increasingly diverse and densely busy parents and due to the decline in moral values in society. Ki Hajar Dewantara has given special attention to Early Childhood Education by establishing Taman Indriya Ibu Pawiyatan. Unfortunately, now many people are not interested in sending their children to Taman Indriya as seen from the number of students who register every year. This study aims to find out about the inculcation of moral values and discipline in Early Childhood according to the basic concept of Ki Hajar Dewantara and its implementation in Taman Indria Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year. This research is included in field research and the type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The subjects and informants in this study were teachers, school principals, students in class B, totaling 16 children, guardians of students, and administrators of the foundation at Taman Indria Ibu Pawiyatan for the 2018/2019 academic year. To find out the validity of the data in this study, this research uses triangulation. The results of this study, among others: 1) The basic concept of Early Childhood Education Ki Hajar Dewantara also produced a system called the Among and Tri Educational Center system. From these two concepts which later gave birth to the slogan a). Ing Ngarsa Sung Tulada, b). Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, c). Tut Wuri Handayani. 2) The implementation of the basic concepts of Ki Hajar Dewantara's Early Childhood Education at Taman Indriya Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta manifested in two forms, namely physical and non-physical. 3) There are obstacles in implementing the basic concept of Ki Hajar Dewantara's Early Childhood Education at Taman Indriya Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta. From the results of this study, there are still several obstacles in implementing the concept of Ki Hajar Dewantara's darar in Taman Indriya Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta so that it is better if Taman Indriya Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta can synergize with teachers, guardians, students and the Taman Siswa found
