Abstract

This thesis examines; "How is the implementation of the supervision of the principal in the implementation of character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Seram West, how are the obstacles faced during the supervision of the principal in the implementation of character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Seram West, and how are the solutions taken in overcoming What are the obstacles faced during the supervision of the principal in the implementation of character education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Seram bagian barat?. The type of research used is descriptive analysis, which describes the findings of researchers about the role of principal supervision on the implementation of character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Seram Bagian Barat in accordance with the actual situation with secondary data support through literature from the library and primary data support through observation activities. , interviews and field observations in accordance with the validity of the data required in the research. The results of the study show the role of The principal in supervision is not helping, fostering, guiding, motivating, and being a role model (uswatun hasanah) for teachers, employees, and students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 West Seram. In assisting and guiding his subordinates, there are at least three things that the principal does, namely holding meetings every two months, improving the teacher's active attitude, and supervising the making of lesson plans. In addition, the principal also reminded about character values that must be developed in schools, namely honesty, responsibility, visionary, discipline, cooperation, fairness, and caring which is abbreviated as JTVDKAP. Exemplary is the main key for principals in implementing character values at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 West Seram. The main obstacle faced by principals and teachers in implementing character education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Seram Barat is that sometimes students are found who are stubborn and then students in low grades are not accustomed to realizing character values. This is due to their young age and lack of attention from their parents. The solution to the problems faced is to provide good examples and use controls in the form of a link book. The connecting book is a record of children's activities during school that must be known to parents and vice versa, parents' notes to teachers regarding their children's activities outside of school. If students are stubborn, their parents are called to face the school through the homeroom teacher. The principal accompanies the homeroom and parents in solving problems that occur by sitting together between these three components, the problems faced can always be solved completely.
