Abstract

The background of this research problems were problems related to PAI which were still often found only concentrating on cognitive theoretical issues from the growth of Islamic values and ignoring the development of affective aspects, namely mutual respect, respect and acceptance of every difference in religious view and belief. Hence, there were gaps and divisions among muslims who have such differences, whether it be between religious understanding and practice in daily life. According to these issues, further research should be conducted on the internalization of tolerance values in religious moderation for students. This type of research used was a descriptive type using a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Whereas the research data were analyzed by using qualitative analysis. The results showed that: 1) The internalization of the value of tolerance in religious moderation was very important to be applied to students because one of the goals for the internalization of the value of tolerance in religious moderation was the formation of morals, character, and attitudes within the students so that they could respect each other, respect and accept any differences the students find and these were applied at SMK Aisyiyah Palembang. 2) The process of internalizing the value of tolerance in a religious moderation of the XI class SMK Aisyiyah Palembang. There are three processes or stages tu such internalization, some of which are as follows: a) The transformation of tolerance values in religious moderation in students of class XI Industrial Chemistry at SMK Aisyiyah Palembang were carried out in PAI learning process and informed students which good values should be applied to their daily lives, whether in school, family and community environment.In the value of tolerance, the PAI teachers informed students of good values regarding mutual respect, mutual appreciation and mutual acceptance of every difference in worship and also mutual respect and appreciation for every religious difference and maintaining brotherhood in order that there was no conflict between fellow Muslims or fellow human beings. b) Transactions of tolerance values in religious moderation to students of class XI Industrial Chemistry at SMK Aisyiyah Palembang, PAIteachers interacted with students so that there were reciprocity between teachers and students by giving advice and motivation, making habituation and provide examples for students. c) Trans-internalization of the value of tolerance in religious moderation to students of class XI Industrial Chemistry at SMK Aisyiyah Palembang, PAI teachers did in depth to train students' attitudes and personalities to instill values about faith, worship and morals, so that students had noble characters, with characters and professionalism.
