Abstract

This research was conducted at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq Kutai Kartanegara and leraning location in one of the congregation‟s houses by research background that there are many students who have not reached the purpose of Tilawati method reciting quality at the learning stage of Al-Qur‟an. At this stage, students should be able to recite fluently (fashāḥah) and to understand tajwid according to the Tilawati method rules. Furthermore, it is known that the learning process has differences from Tilawati method guidebook. The purposes of this research are: 1) to determine the implementation of Tilawati method to improve the Al-Qur‟an reciting quality for adults at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq, 2) to describe the problems of Tilawati method to improve the Al-Qur‟an reciting quality for adults at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq, 3) to provide solutions for the problems of Tilawati method to improve the Al-Qur‟an reciting quality for adults at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq. This research is qualitative research that uses a case study approach to find out more about the problems of Tilawati method to improve the Al-Qur‟an reciting quality for adults at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq. This research was conducted by triangulation of data collection and processing techniques. The result of this research are: 1) learning implemention of Tilawti method in Al-Qur‟an learning at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq was carried out in several stage namely opening activity, core activity, and closing activity. The learning process is carried out with an approach that characteristic Tilawati method. The characteristic is “klasikal” apporoach, “baca simak” and uses the raṡ rhythm all the time. 2) the abilities posseed by students at Majelis Taklim Nurul Haq there are obstacles in reciting Al-Qur‟an such as difficulty of pronouncing the letters, long-short reciting rules, and others tajwid rules 3) problems that accour in learning process of Tilawti method: first, learning strategy is not in accordance with Tilawti method guidebook. second, the teacher does not provide supporting material existing in curriculum. third, there is no “munaqosah juz” that serves to measure the development of students. fourth, The problems related to students are total of students who exceed the maximum limit.
