Abstract

Al-Qur'a>n is the largest literary book that contains a lot of beauty both in terms of language and meaning, of course a lot of literary studies have been carried out on the parts themselves, both in terms of their stories and taken from the perspective of their persurah. One of the surahs that attracted the attention of linguistic scientists is al-Rahma>n , an expert commentator who gave the nickname of the Surah al-Rahma>n with the name Arusi Al-Qur'a>n (bride of the Qur'a>n) because of the many beauty, joy, and enjoyment that are expressed using literary language. selection. This study aims to see the extent to which the connotative meaning or message contained in the Surah al-Rahma>n through Roland Barthes' semotics as the main theory, and books related to this research as its supporters. The reason why surah al-Rahma>n which I have made the object of research and not other chapters is that many linguistic scientists have studied Surah al-Rahma>n because of the beauty of the language and its contents. The average research carried out is on the semantic and pragmatic side, the meanings of denotation and stylics that are commonly used, the reasons for using semiotic teri, one of which is the number of symbolic and linguistic abstractions as well as literary elements that are the deepest in Surah al-Rahma>n . This research is a library research, with a literary method approach by understanding the symbols and codes in the text of surah al-Rahma>n . This research tries to find the meaning of gratitude in Surah al- Rahma>n through the connotations of each lexia and the five semiotic codes, to what extent is Roland Barthes' semiotic appropriateness when used in analyzing the Surah al-Rahma>n . Finally, this research finds the results, first, in Surah al- Rahma>n there are five semiotic codes, namely: hermeneutic, proaerotic, symbolic, semic and referential codes. Second, in Surah al-Rahma>n there are 62 lexia, all of which show the love of Allah for His creation. Third, there are three forms of Allah's compassion. The first is compassion which is in the form of creation in the world and the natural arrangements. The second is love in the form of heaven so that humans can act in a balanced and just manner so that love in the world can be realized and maintained. The third is love in the form of hell so that humans can act arbitrarily and not become tyrannical so that love in the world can be realized and maintained.
