Abstract

Academic procrastination is the behavior of delaying completing a student's academic task. This research aimed to determine the relationship between self-compassion and activeness in organizations with Academic procrastination as dependent variables. This research was a quantitative study that used scale as a method of data collection. The research subjects used in this study were 393 UIN Sunan Kalijaga undergraduate students who were participating in the organization. The sampling technique used in this study was the accidental sampling technique. Data from the study were analyzed using SPSS 20 for Windows with multiple linear regression techniques. The study used the self-compassion scale, the organizational activity scale, and the academic procrastination scale as research instruments. This study results showed a relationship between self-compassion and activeness of organizing together with students' academic procrastination. This result was evidenced by the magnitude of the determination of the efficacy value (R Square) of 0.237, which means that the variable of self-compassion and activeness in organizations simultaneously contributes 23.7% to the variable of academic procrastination. In contrast, 76.3% were affected by other variables not included in the study's regression equation. The effective contribution of self-compassion variables to procrastination by 13.71%, while activeness in organizations variables towards procrastination by 9.99%.
