Abstract

Instilling spiritual intelligence in children is important to apply from an early age. The role of teachers and parents in instilling spiritual intelligence can shape children into good personalities such as being obedient in worship, and having good morals. That is why, there are three main focuses in this study; they are describing the importance of the role of teacher and parents, the implementation of the role of teacher and parents, the impact of the role of teacher and parents. This research applies a qualitative study. The subjects in this study are teachers and parents. The data collection method is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, to determine the validity of the data, the study uses triangulation with a variety of different data collection techniques to get data from the same source. The results of this study indicate that (1) the role of teachers and parents in educating and guiding children plays crucial role and it needs cooperative work between teachers and parents for mutual relations. (2) the implementation of the role of teachers and parents in instilling children's spiritual intelligence through 6 methods namely exemplary methods, habituation, advice, attention and monitoring, rewards and punishment, telling stories. (3) The impact of the role of teachers and parents in cultivating spiritual intelligence, children are more obedient in worship and they become noble.
