Abstract

Human resource development is very important for the organization in achieving the planned goals. The development is an effort to form qualified members and have competitive advantages to obtain maximum performance results. The organization always tries to improve the performance of its members so that the organization has high value and attractiveness so that it can compete in the current era of globalization. The organization must continue to improve the qualityof its human resource in order to be able to survive. This study aims to see the strategies used by the student resisment unit 03 UIN sunan kalijaga Yogyakarta in developing human resources using SWOT analysis and the efforts made by the organization to improve the performance of its members. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, the subject is peoples who know, understand, and experience the problems that are the topic of research. The data collection used is by interview, observation, with the aim of obtaining comprehensive and objective data. Base on the results of the study, it shows that the development of human resources carried out at the menwa organization of UIN sunan kalijaga Yogyakarta is in line with the goals of the organization. The strategi used to see the situation for the benefit of human resource development is a SWOT analysis. The strategy is used to identify important internal and external factors of the organization in the form of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. To improve the quality of the performance of its members is to use training and education.from the results of this performance improvement, it is able to provide maximum performance results that are used in achieving organizational goals. The visible results of improving the performance of members are by increasing their ability to carry out their duties, having discipline, responsibility, and having strong physical and mental strength.
