Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that affect the ability to memorize the Quran including spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence. The ability to memorize the Quran is the ability to remember the reading of the Quran and pronounce it by heart without looking at the Quran. Students' ability to memorize the Quran can be influenced by various factors, both internal and external factors. Among the internal factors that come from within students, namely: spiritual intelligence is the knowledge that has existed since humans exist and regulates life by utilizing the voice of his heart so that his life will run well, be more meaningful and closer to Allah SWT. While emotional intelligence is the ability of an individual to understand his own feelings, handle his own feelings, understand the feelings of others and the ability to make associations with others. The approach used in this research is a quantitative type of field approach. The research method used in this research is observation, questionnaire and documentation. Sampling used the entire population with a non-probability sampling technique, namely saturated sampling with a sample of 55 students. The data analysis technique used regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 23 for windows. This research instrument uses a spiritual intelligence scale, emotional intelligence and the ability to memorize the Quran. The results of this study indicate: 1) There is an influence between spiritual intelligence on the ability to memorize the Quran as evidenced by the acquisition of t-count values > t-table (3.684 > 2.037) and sig < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). 2) There is an influence between emotional intelligence on the ability to memorize the Quran as evidenced by the acquisition of t-count values > t-table (5,750 > 2.037) and sig < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). 3) There is an influence between spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence on the ability to memorize the Quran as evidenced by the acquisition of F-count > F-table (24.133 > 3.285) and sig < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). So, it can be stated based on the results of these calculations that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
