Abstract

Exclusive religious understanding has now become a trend in society, as a result of the dogmatic understanding of religion, not critical reasoning. Because this research focuses on teaching materials for students in the Akidah Akhlak Subject for Class IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 2013 Curriculum with the literature study method through content analysis and content interpretation. Developed, critical awareness is built through a scientific approach to the pilgrim process, exploration, associating, and communicating, through critical traditions, students can understand reality and become better, contribute, fair, safe, and prosperous. Proving an understanding of the re-meaning of critical awareness discourse socialization models that integrate the principles of justice with the principles of Islamic education so that can accommodate critical understanding, one of which, through critical teaching materials
