Abstract

The transparency of Public Information is an important and fundamental aspect to guarantee human rights in Indonesia, especially in the communication and information area. As cite in Indonesian’s rule of the law (Undang-Undang) No. 14 in 2008 is about the transparency of public system as the guidelines for other public organizations to create a good system of government. The background of this research is based on some achievements that have been accomplished by Desa Dermaji in achieving the transparency of public information and good governance. From that phenomenon, the government of Desa Dermaji does many innovations, one of them utilizes technology development as a communication tool to develop public information services through society. The purpose of this research is to know the function of communication in the organization within to build and increase the transparency of Public Information in Desa Permaji. The researcher uses theory of Sendjaja (Bungin, 2006:278-280) regarding the function of communication in the organization. This research also uses descriptive qualitative by using main subjects such as the leader of Desa Dermaji, interview method, observations, and documentations. The result of this research indicates that the way function of communication in the organization which applied by village government has done well. It can develop the transparency of Public Information towards all of people in Desa Dermaji. Thus, based on communication theory by Sendjaja, government of Desa Dermaji has carried out an informative function, regulative function, persuasive function, and integrative function so they successfully create and develop the transparency of public in this environment.
