Abstract

This research is about the effect of Organizational Communication climate on employee performance. Communication Climate is a combination of perceptions about communication events, communication behavior, employee responses to other employees, expectations, conflicts between personal and growth opportunities for growth in the organization of Pace and Faules (2006: 147). Employee performance greatly affects the progress of an organization including the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion D I Yogyakarta. This research is aims to the Effect of Organizational Communication Climate on Employee Performance in the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion in Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is a quantitative survey method. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 117 respondents with random sampling techniques, while data analysis using simple linear regression analysis. The value of significance 0,000 less than 0.05 which means there is an influence between Organizational Communication Climate on employee performance. In addition, a coefficient of determination or R square of 0.515 is obtained which implies that the influence of the independent variable or organizational communication climate on the dependent variable or employee performance is 51.5%
