Abstract

The background of the problem in this research is that the spiritual intelligence of students is an innate human trait that can be developed through appropriate stimulus and habituation. Ideally, a person who has a good understanding of religion will be in harmony with his behavior, but in practice, behavior is still found that is not in line and even deviates from religious knowledge. Based on this problem, it is necessary to conduct further research on the humanistic approach of the TPQ Al-Muttaqin teacher, the implications for increasing the spiritual intelligence of students as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of the TPQ teacher's humanistic approach in improving the spiritual intelligence of TPQ Al-Muttaqin students, to find out what factors were supporting and constraining the implementation of the TPQ teacher's humanistic approach in increasing the spiritual intelligence of students, knowing the implications of the teacher's humanistic approach. TPQ in improving the spiritual intelligence of students. Methods This research is a type of qualitative research using an educational psychology approach. As for the data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data uses qualitative analysis, namely data reduction, verification, and conclusions. Testing the validity of the data in this study is data triangulation, namely technical triangulation, source triangulation, and time triangulation. The results showed that the ability of interaction, communication and pleasant habituation patterns carried out by TPQ teachers in mingling and encouraging students was evidenced by the ability to be flexible, high level of awareness, ability to face and take advantage of suffering, make life meaningful and have a quality of life. who is inspired by vision and values, has a sense of responsibility and reluctance to cause unnecessary harm, activities related to faith, dhikr and prayer, has a high quality of patience, has a strong sense of empathy. The implementation of the interaction of the humanistic approach of the TPQ Al-Muttaqin Aman Jaya teacher is carried out in the KBM process and is also applied outside of learning hours, the humanistic approach of the TPQ Al-Muttaqin teacher begins with approaching both personally and in groups to the students, providing open opportunities for all students to ask and express opinions to students. The process of educative interaction outside of learning is carried out during religious activities, such as praying 5 times in congregation, yasinan, reading sholawat, MTQ and students' home routines in turns. TPQ teachers provide religious habituation, role models and direct motivation to students.
