Abstract

Examination in criminal procedural law is essentially aimed at finding the material truth in a criminal case being examined, as described in Article 5 paragraph (1) of Law number 49 of 20019 concerning Judicial Powers which in essence Judges are required to explore, follow, and understand legal values and a sense of justice that live in society. In solving a criminal case itself, of course, requires asistance from other disciplines to participate in the search for material truth so that the objectivies of legal justice can b achivied properly a expected. Forensic Medicine, especially the process of post-mortem examination (autopsy) is one of a person’slife, the results of the examination are contained in the form of a medical examination result letter visum et repertum in the form of qualified doctor’s statement, as evidence of a letter and not evidence of expert testimony. The research is a library research using a juridical-normative approach which refers to the provisions or legal nroms contained in the applicable laws and regulations. While the method of analysis using analytical descriptions of literature study techniques with analytical methods using literature studies that refer to the literature. The results of this study indicate that it is important to carry out forensic post-mortem efforts to find the material truth in cases of violence that cause the loss of a person’s in Decision Number : 174/Pid.B/2019/PN.Btg and Decision Number : 175/Pid.B/2019/PN.Btg, and it is hoped that there will be firmness in the urgency of law enforcement in the prevention of liquor so that it is not misused, because the impact caused is quite disturbing to many people.
