Abstract

A Decision Support System is a system built to make it easier for someone to make choices or decisions. There are many methods used, one of which is the GAP mapping method using Profile Matching and the weighting method using the Weighted Product. SNMPTN is one of the entrances to state universities whose assessment is base upon student achievement throughout high school or equivalent. The assessment components include student report cards from semester 1 to semester 5, certificates of both academic and non-academic championships (if any), then the choice of majors and universities that students will choose. The majors here will be the discussion of this research because there are many choices of majors in universities in Indonesia which will make students have to make good choices. This study aims to assist students in choosing majors based on report cards that have been achieved for five semesters so that it becomes a benchmark for students so that students can take the majors they get if they pass the SNMPTN selection. The results of this study indicate that manual and system calculations have the same results based on the results of functionality testing, has shows that most of the respondents agree with the system that has been built. The data from the usability test stated that 93.75% of respondents agreed, 6,25% of respondents said they did not agree.
