Abstract

Emotion regulation can be improved by strengthening religiosity and also parents provide a secure attachment to teenagers. This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and attachment to the regulation of emotions. The subjects in this study were 130 adolescent domiciled in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, play games more than 4 hours a day, are Muslim, and have spent money to play online games. This study uses quantitative methods with sampling techniques using quota sampling techniques. The data collection tool uses a religiosity scale, attachment scale, and emotion regulation scale with multiple regression data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between religiosity and attachment to adolescent emotional regulation. this is indicated by the significance of the multiple correlation coefficient which is equal to 0.00 (p<0.05). as for the effective contribution of religiosity along with attachment to emotion regulation is 52.7% while the other 47.3% is influenced by other factors.
