Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison and analysis of profitability trends of Islamic and non-Islamic manufacturing companies in LQ45 during the covid-19 pandemic. The data analysis method used is a non-parametric statistical test method which is used to analyze the difference in the median of 2 independent groups using the Mann Whitney test to test the comparative hypothesis of 2 independent samples if the data is in the form of ratios and intervals are not normally distributed. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the profitability of Islamic and non-Sharia manufacturing using ROA and ROE where the asymp.sig (2-tailed) ROA and ROE values were 0.240 and 0.248, while for the EPS ratio there was a difference with the asymp.sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.007. And for the trend of profitability in the ratio of ROA and ROE of Islamic manufacturing has a positive trend of 1.93% and 7.62, respectively. While the trend in sharia manufacturing EPS decreased by 6.66%. And a decrease occurred in all profitability ratios in non-sharia manufacturing companies.
