Abstract

Waqf is a religious institution in Islam that has a direct functional relationship with the settlement of social and humanitarian problems. An example is waqf aimed at alleviating poverty and empowering the people's economy. This study aims to describe the aspects of land waqf empowerment in Darul Amin Islamic Boarding School and Raudhatul Jannah Islamic Boarding School, Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. Methodologically, the research uses the procedures and workings of qualitative research by utilizing the methods of observation, interviews and documentation as data collection methods. The results of this study indicate that the empowerment of land waqf in both Islamic boarding schools places more education and religious activities as a vehicle for empowerment. The results of this study ensure that the empowerment of land waqf has not been fully activated on income as the development of land assets
