Abstract

Poverty is one of the problems that are often found in every region. One of the efforts in alleviating poverty is the utilization of productive zakat. Zakat funds given to mustahik are not only consumptive in nature but are productive in nature as additional business capital. With this program, it is hoped that mustahik will be able to develop their business so that they can change their status from mustahik to muzakki. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the amount of zakat funds, utilization of zakat funds, and business assistance on increasing mustahik's income in Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta. The data in this study used primary data derived from questionnaires given to mustahik. The analytical method used to test the hypothesis is multiple regression analysis and classical assumption test. The results showed that partially the variable amount of zakat funds had no positive and significant effect on mustahik's income. However, there is a positive and significant effect on the variables of productive zakat fund utilization and business assistance. Simultaneously the variable amount of productive zakat funds, utilization of productive zakat funds and business assistance have a positive and significant effect on the mustahik income variable. R Square value of 0.5283 indicates that 52.83% of mustahik's income variable is influenced by the amount of productive zakat funds, utilization of productive zakat funds and business assistance. While the remaining 47.17% is explained by variables outside this model.
