Abstract

Zakat is a maliyah ijtima'iyyah worship which has a very important position, both in terms of Islamic teachings and the development of the welfare of the people. In the reality of social life, both past and present, we always encounter a gulf between the rich and the poor. In this regard, the role and regulation of zakat in society needs to receive great attention. One of the areas in Lamongan Regency, precisely in Brengkok Village, Brondong District, in the implementation of zakat on agricultural products they have their own way, this is influenced by customs or habits that have been carried out by the community for generations. From these problems, in this research, the problem to be studied is formulated, namely about who plays a role in the implementation of zakat on agricultural products in Brengkok Village, Brondong District, Lamongan Regency, what are the factors that cause the implementation of zakat on agricultural products? agricultural zakat in Brengkok Village, Brondong District, Lamongan Regency and how is the relevance of the implementation of agricultural zakat in Brengkok Village, Brondong District, Lamongan Regency. This research is a field research in the form of analytical descriptive research using the historical approach of Islamic law. Primary data was obtained through interviews with religious leaders, community leaders and farmers, while secondary data was obtained through libraries and internet searches. The results showed that the actors who played a role in zakat management in Brengkok Village were the people themselves who took the initiative to deposit zakat on their agricultural products to mass organizations with the intention of purifying their agricultural assets. The factors that influence the implementation of zakat in Brengkok Village are customary factors, psychological factors, and religious education factors. Furthermore, regarding the relevance of the zakat administration that has been carried out in Brengkok Village as described above, when it is associated with the existing zakat rules, there are some that are not relevant to the provisions that should be applied, namely the absence of calculation of nisab and the level of zakat that must be issued. To carry out the orderly agricultural zakat, there needs to be a special institution in Brengkok Village such as Lazismu so that it can be coordinated in the management of zakat.
