Abstract

At the Arabic language course institution located in Pare Language Village, several institutions such as Al-Azhar, Markaz Arabiyah, and Masqot Dirghoem Academy provide special programs for students, namely the da'wah program. But unfortunately, the implementation of this program still relies a lot on the lecture system with a conventional model by prioritizing the lecture or teacher centered method. This is considered to be less in accordance with the characteristics of the intended students, namely millennials who basically have a high curiosity and focus on developing language skills, one of which is public speaking. Responding to this, the administrators of the course institution carried out a new reconstruction related to the da'wah strategy, namely through the diffusion of innovation with contemporary da'wah strategies. The formulation of the problem in this study is as follows: (1) How is the actualization of the diffusion of innovations in the Islamic da'wah program with contemporary da'wah strategies applied to students in the Arabic language course institution in the English village of Pare (2) What are the factors that support the diffusion of program innovations of Islamic da'wah with contemporary da'wah strategies. This research is a qualitative research using a case study approach. The method of data collection was through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of 3 Arabic language courses in Pare. Meanwhile, data analysis went through four stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. It aims to see the diffusion of innovation in Islamic da'wah programs with contemporary da'wah strategies. As for testing the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation by confirming the results of in-depth interviews with students and teachers at Arabic language course institutions through field observations by direct researchers. In addition, these results were also confirmed by the documentation obtained by the researcher during the observation process. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: (1) The diffusion of innovations in the contemporary da'wah program implemented in the Pare Arabic language course institution was initiated by the institution's administrators, conducted online and offline and based on subject segmentation, namely millennials. (2) The diffusion of innovation in contemporary da'wah programs at the Pare Arabic language course is supported by several factors, namely improving students' language skills, growing students' self-confidence by appearing in public, easy acceptance of this program, individual confidence to be able to carry out this program well, as well as evaluations conducted by the management on a regular basis for the development of this da'wah program.
